Welcome to our growing place for all things coffee. Our love of coffee has now become a larger part of what we do here at the Market, and as always focusing on the quality of the products we are producing.

We select our green coffee beans for their highest quality from what is referred to as the ‘specialty coffee’ realm. We then roast our own beans in small batches achieving a roast level and profile that brings out the best flavour in each bean.  You can taste that quality in our coffee over what you might sample in lesser mass-produced coffee brands. If you’re only going to have a cup or two a day, why not make the indulgence worth it after all! 

Additionally, we only work with green coffee importers that ethically source their green coffee beans. For example, our two main products “Tradewinds” and “Gull Rock Dark” are sourced from local farmer co-operatives and small independent local farms respectively.

You’ll also notice from our packaging that we love to celebrate all things Nova Scotia, especially those places that shape us, our history and our communities. Come into the store on the right day and you may even catch the scent of fresh roasting coffee in the air, some say you can even taste the local salty freshness of the sea in our coffee!
